Great Work ! Solidarity 100% NO VOTE. Work to rule is in affect. Let's get some banter going prior to our Feb. 19/2009 Union meeting. Last one was a blast, how about one more time.
Facial Hair policy 1. The superintendent or designate verbally brings the safety concern to the attention of the employee. 3. If the employee fails to trim or, if necessary, remove the facial hair within the established time or disputes the need to trim or remove the hair, the employee is required to submit to a mask fitness test. The test is conducted as soon as feasable by a qualified person (an accredited MSA instructor and certified PORTACCOUNT Plus Tester) designated by the Superintendent and is attended by at least one employer representative and one employee representative from the Joint Health and Safety Committee. Step 1. A visual examination is conducted with the employee wearing the appropriate respirator to ensure that the skin is cleanly shaven where the mask comes into contact with the face. The employer representative is the final arbiter.
